DOCUMENT REVIEW

WHAT IS A DOCUMENT REVIEW?

Booking a Document Review Appointment is essential to ensure we have a complete understanding of your current situation and the key factors impacting your advocacy needs. By reviewing important documents, such as IEPs, 504 Plans, assessments, or workplace accommodation requests, we can provide more accurate, tailored recommendations. This process helps us identify gaps, suggest improvements, and ensure that you're fully equipped to advocate effectively. It’s a crucial step in building a strategy that truly reflects your needs

A MODIFIED DOCUMENT REVEW INCLUDES:

  1. In-Depth Analysis of IEPs/504 Plans/Workplace Handbooks: A comprehensive review of your Workplace Handbook, child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan to ensure it reflects their current needs, strengths, and accommodations.
  2. Identifying Gaps or Missing Services: We help uncover any gaps in services or accommodations that may be hindering your child’s progress, ensuring no essential support is overlooked.
  3. Tailored Recommendations for Improvement: Based on the document review, we offer specific recommendations to enhance your plan, ensuring the best possible support.
  4. Clarification of Educational Rights: We explain the legal language and technical aspects of the documents, so you fully understand your rights and how to advocate for them effectively.
  5. Preparation for HR/IEP/504 Meetings: We provide you with insights and strategies to confidently advocate for necessary changes or additional services during school meetings.
  6. Ongoing Support and Updates: As your child’s needs evolve, we help adjust the documents to ensure they continue receiving appropriate accommodations and services.
